Wilderness Pedagogy
At its core, the goal is to reawaken and strengthen the deep connection between people and the living natural world.
For some, these may be just brief moments. And yet this work is part of a larger mission: the restoration of a genuine and deep relationship between us as human beings and the world that sustains our lives.
The idea that change in this world always begins with inner change. By beginning to turn our gaze back to the earth from which we have grown.
In addition to youth camps and survival courses, my main area of focus in recent years has been the exchange programs of the European Solidarity Corps.
A format in which people from Europe, the Arab world, Russia, and elsewhere come together as an active form of peacemaking. Wilderness Education
Guiding

During my years as a nomad, I gained deep insight into life off the beaten path.
Whether with the nomads of the desert, the bears of the Siberian taiga, or the indigenous peoples of the Colombian jungle, I realized early on that my mission would be to bring these worlds closer to others.
To be a bridge between these worlds.

Film
It all began in 2021 with a Lumix G 81 and a good friend who lives on the Algerian border of the Moroccan Sahara. Together, armed with our camera, we set out to discover what remained of the tradition of the nomadic tribes’ poets.
The Last Poets of the Desert”—a road movie that never set out to win an Oscar.
And yet it marked the beginning of a long-standing passion for weaving poetry, language, music, and images into stories in my own unique way.
Soon after my first film project, I decided that working with people would be the focus of my creative work—that my filmmaking should remain free from the pressure of having to fit into a specific format.
In some cases, I now also accept commissioned work.
However, I’m not the right person to contact for glossy promotional films.
If you’re looking for an authentic portrait—a promotional film with soul that captures the essence of things—feel free to reach out.

Selected Projects and Collaborations
Earth Medicine
(Initiator, Project Manager, Film Documentation)
Following the earthquake that wreaked apocalyptic devastation in eastern Turkey in February 2023, the European Solidarity Corps launched the project series.
“Earth Medicine,” which has significantly changed the lives of hundreds of people in the aftermath of the disaster.
International camps lasting several months continue to take place at regular intervals to this day.
In addition to a series of interviews about people’s experiences, traumas, and coping mechanisms, the project also produced the road movie “Earth Medicine, The Beginning.”
Chiribiquete – Land of the Shamans
I’ve also documented the spectacular evacuation from the jungle—which involved a large-scale operation by the Colombian military—as well as my encounters with people, animals, and mystical beings in my two-part YouTube series: “Chiribiquete – Land of the Shamans.”
Adventure Mauritania – ARD, NDR, etc.
(Planing)
Samuel Häde, who set new standards for ARD’s adventure film division with his debut work “With the Donkey Through Afghanistan,” was immediately gripped by “desert fever” after our first meeting in Berlin. One year after our joint planning session, the result: several versions were released across various public broadcasting platforms.
